In the die design phase, our engineers will conduct the following analysis based on the customer prints in order to ensure the part quality and reduce the potential problems. The analysis is conducted using several different CAD/CAM tools. The analysis includes:
Get Design Calculation Part Solidification & Hot Spot Analysis

This calculation enables us to best fit our machine with the die. From this calculation, we can gain the optimal process factors and set-up information.

The biggest problem for die casting parts is the air and shrinkage porosity. In order to identify the potential problem of the part, a three dimensional solidification analysis will be conducted. The analysis results can identify the cooling line location and help the thermal management.

Thin Die Steel Analysis Heavy & Thin Wall Analysis

The die maintenance is a big issue in die casting operations. A good die is the fundamental requirement to provide a quality part. In order to save the operating cost and produce the quality part, a three dimensional computer aided program will be used to check the die for potential problem areas.

A good filling of the part can reduce part defects from mis-runs or cold shut. A study will be made to evaluate the thin wall to heavy wall filling situations. If any are found, some suggestions will be sent to the customer.
